Orominerva Red Pesto is unique, completely different from the others. It is made from our sun-dried tomatoes and the addition of our basil pesto, L'altro pesto verde.
With the intense aromas and flavours of sun-dried tomatoes, L'altro pesto rosso is a delicious ingredient for aperitifs, starters and bruschettas, as well as for first and second course meat dishes. It also has a very slight spicy persistence at the end.
Also ideal for vegetarians.

Pesto with sun-dried tomatoes
Orominerva's other red pesto contains neither garlic nor food of animal origin. It is a sun-dried tomato pesto for which we use a little of our green pesto made with Orominerva Genoese basil PDO, Orominerva's EVO oil and a long ripening cheese with vegetable rennet.
Dried tomatoes give it the typical imprint of the taste of tradition through an excellent organoleptic profile that comes from a high-quality raw material, processed with a few steps dictated by the uses of the past. We dry the fresh tomatoes in the sun and wait for nature to make them perfect in its own time.
The wait is worth it: our pesto with sun-dried tomatoes is extremely tasty, a condiment that satisfies the desire to bring authentic flavours to the table in a completely new way.
How to combine L'altro pesto rosso
With our red pesto, you can give a distinctive character to every moment of a meal, starting with the less demanding ones. It is delicious on canapés or bruschetta, served as an aperitif or hors d'oeuvres.
